This wine is born from an overripe harvest of Montepulciano and Merlot grapes, revealing an opulent bouquet and exceptional smoothness.
The residual sugar, resulting from the partial drying of grapes from vines over 30 years old, merges with an elegant concentration of extractive elements reminiscent of sour cherry, plum, and red berries, unveiling harmoniously balanced tannins.
Its essence captivates the palate, offering sensations of aromatic richness and fruit intensity. A great wine — round and remarkably pleasant — that pairs beautifully with complex dishes, yet can just as easily be enjoyed on its own.
As this wine is produced from two grape varieties, maceration with the skins is carried out separately: 12 days for Merlot and 16 days for Montepulciano. This is followed by 3 months of aging in concrete vats, one year in oak barrels, 6 months of resting in cement tanks, and finally 6 months of bottle refinement.
